Decaf - Decaffeinated Coffee

Availability of good tasting decaffeinated green coffees is getting better all the time. This coffee is a prime example of such a coffee. Our Colombian decaf has an interesting sweetness to it and does taste like good coffee!

The coffee is decaffeinated using the sugarcane method. This method uses solids extracted from sugarcane. Which is nice. The caffeine is removed using a solution containing water soluble elements of coffee except for caffeine. When the green beans are soaked in the solution, caffeine is removed from the bean and delivered to the solution. Eventually caffeine is removed almost completely.
